Parsons Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

 

A Parsons man has been arrested on an array of charges including attempted murder in connection with a shooting in Parsons.

 

Late Tuesday night, Parsons Police received multiple calls about shots fired at Pete's convenience store. Officers responded to the scene and found the victim, Chelsea Shultz.

 

After speaking to the victim and witnesses, officers were able to view video footage of the incident. Officers were able to positively identify 33-year-old Levonie Quintett Bush as the shooter. Shultz and Bush were involved in an argument over alleged stolen property in the store while in the store. As the two exited the store, Bush punched Shultz knocking her to the ground. Shultz was able to get up and make her way to her vehicle when Bush pulled a black pistol pointing it at Shultz and fired the weapon multiple times. Bush then left the scene.

 

Police were later able to locate Bush at a residence where he was arrested. The homeowner, 52-year-old Tammy Farran, was arrested for Interference with Law Enforcement, while Bush was arrested for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, Criminal Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Criminal Discharge of a Firearm, 2 counts of Interference with Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana, and 3 counts of Aggravated Endangerment of a Child.

 

This continues to be an ongoing investigation.
