COVID-19 has had an unexpected effect on the supply and demand of several products, including lumber. Senator Jerry Moran spoke on the Senate floor about the impact of the price of lumber.

Senator Moran says historically, Canada has been the largest foreign supplier of softwood lumber but that has been declining over the past four years.  Senator Moran says resolving the trade dispute with Canada and better managing public lands to increase lumber production will help the problem facing potential home builders and buyers.
