Around midnight a Galena Police Officer conducted a traffic stop at 7th and Cornwall for a defective headlight and failure to signal. The driver, 38-year-old Scotty Smith of Pittsburg, came back with a suspended license.

Once taken into custody the officer began an inventory prior to the vehicle being towed. The officer located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and counterfeit money. Smith was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit money, possession with intent to distribute and driving while suspended.
