KDOT Begins Bridge Replacement Project on U.S. 160

The Kansas Department of Transportation has started a project to replace the Neosho River drainage bridge on U.S. 160 in Cherokee County.

The bridge is one mile east of the Labette-Cherokee county line. The contractor is building a temporary road around the bridge site, which will be completed in several weeks. Two-way traffic will use the temporary road during the construction of the new bridge. Weather permitting, the new bridge should be open to traffic by the end of 2021.

KDOT awarded the construction contract of $1.9million to B & B Bridge of St. Paul.
