Chautauqua County Meeting for 5-3

The Chautauqua County Commission continued discussions on the purchase of a new ambulance at its most recent meeting on Monday.

Representatives from Sedan EMS stopped by Monday's meeting, wanting to purchase a third ambulance to replace one of their older ones. The EMS, which is a private non-profit, cannot afford to stock four amulances. The oldest was made in 1996.

Greg Hadley, who also visited with the commission on Thursday, said he was expecting or wanting to purchase one as soon as possible.

Commissioner Rodney Shaw said he wished he could give them money right away, but more information was needed. The commission will meet once again next Monday.
