A Parsons man is dead following a vehicle collision in northeast Oklahoma Sunday evening.
The collision took place at about 7:20 pm on U.S. 169 just north of SH10, approximately 10 miles north of Nowata, Ok in Nowata County.
A 2017 Hyundai Accent driven by 50-year-old Christopher Alvarado collided with a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by 56-year-old Betty Koscelny of Delaware, Ok.
Christopher Alvarado was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 50-year-old Coletta Alvarado was transported by Air Evac to Saint John Hospital in Tulsa for multiple injuries. She was treated and later released.
Koscelny was transported by Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Air Ambulance to CRMC with leg, arm, and head injuries. She was also treated and released.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the incident is still under investigation.
