The Caney Police Department is looking for a suspect after fleeing from an accident. At around 8:00pm yesterday evening, Caney PD received a report of a possible accident at the corner of 9th and Wood St. Upon arrival the officer found an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch.
After further investigation, the officer located a female and a male subject who had been in the vehicle at the time of the accident. It was determined that 34-year-old Matthew Dunham was the driver of the vehicle and had fled the scene on foot.
Dunham is wanted on outstanding warrants in Montgomery County City Warrants in Caney. A search of the area failed to locate Dunham. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Dunham should contact your local law enforcement or Caney PD at 620-879-2141.
