Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has chosen the executive director of the Montgomery County Action Council to lead the Kansas Office of Rural Prosperity. Director Trisha Purdon says it is a huge honor to be selected for this position.

Purdon says she has a lot of goals and ideas on how to move forward with new opportunities to help all of rural Kansas.  Purdon will oversee daily operations, which include investing in programs, realigning existing resources, enhancing technical assistance provided to local leaders and expanding on successful programs to better focus on the needs of rural communities. Purdon’s office will be based out of Montgomery County.
