Purdon Talks Grants for Restaurants, Lt. Governor Visit

Restaurants were hit hard in 2020 due to the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The industry will now receive a grant from the federal government as part of the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund that was part of the American Rescue Plan that was established by President Joe Biden earlier this year. The funds will go to the hardest hit small restaurants. Montgomery County Action Council Director Trisha Purdon says that a wide variety of restaurants are covered by the grant.

Purdon also talked about two state officials visiting Caney on May 20th.
