A Topeka man was injured in an early morning crash in Coffeyville.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Cordell Ramsey of Tulsa was driving a 2007 Dodge Caliber northbound on U.S. Highway 169 when he crossed the center line and caused 62-year-old Mark Mikoleit who was driving a 2013 Freightliner to make an avoidance maneuver onto the southbound shoulder. Ramsey's vehicle then struck the Freightliner causing it to overturn in the east ditch.

Mikoleit was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin with suspected serious injuries. Ramsey was not injured. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
