A grandmother and Coffeyville first responders saved a toddler from drowning in a pool Sunday afternoon.
Coffeyville firefighters, officers and EMS responded to a call of a possible child drowning and upon arrival, the grandmother of the toddler was performing CPR. Responding units performed additional life-saving measures and the child was transported to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. The toddler was then flown to Tulsa and is expected to make a full recovery.
Coffeyville Fire Chief Billy Cockman said, "Early CPR is key to positive outcomes in these situations. Citizens trained in CPR help keep our community safe."
