Wanted Felon Arrested in Parsons

 

Parsons Police have arrested a 26-year-old man that had an active warrant in Montgomery County. Parsons PD received a tip of a wanted person that was at a home in Parsons. The fugitive was identified as Tyler Dwaine Vickrey of Parsons.  Vickrey is currently on Community Corrections for Possession of opiates, opium, narcotic drugs, or designated stimulants.

 

Vickrey had an active arrest warrant through the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for possession of a controlled substance. Cpl. Garrett Lucas went to the 100 block of South 25th Street and was able to locate Vickrey while attempting to hide behind a washing machine in the residence's backroom. Vickrey was found with approximately 13 grams of Methamphetamine and just over 2 grams of marijuana on his person.

 

Vickrey was transported and released to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for the active warrant. Parsons Police are also requesting charges be brought against Vickrey for unlawful distribution of controlled substances, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Vickrey is currently on bond for two cases in Labette County. Vickrey was arrested in 2018, while on Federal Parole, by Parsons Police for Distribution of Certain Stimulants, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended, Transporting an Open Container and Interference with Law Enforcement. Vickrey was again arrested in 2020 by the Labette County Sheriff's Office for Distribution of Methamphetamine, Criminal Use of Explosives (Risk to LEO), Criminal Possession of Explosives (Felon within 5 years), Criminal Possession of Weapon by Felon (Firearm), Possession of Stolen Property, Interference with Law Enforcement (Resisting arrest), Possession of Counterfeit U.S. Currency, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Driving While Suspended.
