Fredonia Schools Moves Forward Without Mask Mandate

USD 484-Fredonia released a statement last night stating that they are not moving forward with Governor Laura Kelly's Executive Order 20-59 stating that masks must be worn in school attendance centers. The order expired yesterday as Senate Bill 40 was signed into law.

The school district is still recommending the wearing of masks in district buildings with the exception of standing in line for food where masks will still be required. Social distancing protocols will still be in place when possible and they will continue to sanitize the rooms multiple times a day.

There are currently no positives in the district and no one in quarantine as well. Fredonia is operating under the state's green level and they will continue to follow that plan for the rest of the school year.
