Arvest Bank and KGGF honor an FFA student from a young FFA Chapter as the March Ag Student of the Month. Independence FFA Advisor Meghan Strassburg says Jacob Burd is a very hard working student and that is why she nominated him.

Independence's FFA chapter is only five years old and Burd says it has been an interesting experience being one of the first students a part of the chapter.  Burd is the chapter's president and is also involved in agronomy, poultry judging and giving extemporaneous speeches.
