An Independence man was arrested early Monday morning on two traffic charges.

Just before 8 am, a Caney PD office stopped a vehicle for driving 31 mph in a 20 mph school zone. The driver was identified as 33-year-old Adriane Phillips. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that Phillips was driving on a suspended California Driver's License and did not have liability insurance on his vehicle.

Phillips was arrested for driving while suspended and no liability insurance. He posted bond through Caney City Court and was released pending an April 6th court date.
