The Caney Police Department received a report of a person trespassing at a residence early this morning. The subject was acting erratic and appeared to be intoxicated. The subject had been asked to leave the property several times, but would not leave.

A Caney Officer responded to the scene to find a subject they were familiar with, 33 year old Jason Kelly. Kelly fled on foot in an attempt to escape from the officer, who requested back up. Kelly was apprehended after the officer outran Kelly and was able to subdue him.

Kelly was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was booked on charges of Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, and Interference with a Law Enforcement Officer.  Caney PD has arrested Kelly five times in the last 5 months.
