Cases of COVID-19 Continuing to Dip Amid Third and Fourth Phases of Vaccine Rollout

 

The number of daily positive cases of COVID-19 in the state of Kansas continues to decline as the third and fourth phases of the vaccine distribution begin this week.

 

Despite the continuing spread of new foreign variants of the virus, there have only been 6,532 new cases since February 22nd, according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. The state has not seen 200+ new daily cases in a whole week. However, the state did surpass a milestone as the KDHE has reported 300,125 total cases.

 

As for Montgomery County, there have been zero cases reported in three of the last four days leading up to Monday with the exception being five cases reported on Sunday. The KDHE reports a total of 3,384 total cases in the county with 98 hospitalizations.
