The city of Coffeyville approved meal program grants to qualifying non-profit organizations at its most recent city commission meeting.

The city was awarded $35,000 through the CDBG-CV grant which can be used for employee salaries, rent, inventory and non-city-owned utilities. Four companies were awarded the money from the grant.

Also during the meeting, three new police officers were sworn in. The city welcomed new officers Chance March, Jarin Watkins and Parker Yell.

The next meeting will be on April 13th at 6:30 p.m.
