Independence Community College has announced the hiring of Chris Kumke as its new Director of Esports.

Kumke, a 2020 graduate of Shenandoah University in Virginia, was named the Male Student Leader of the Year for the inaugural National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) National Awards as a senior. He graduated with a degree in esports management.

The ICC Esports team will be forming in Fall 2021.
