A 25-year old Parsons man was killed after a single-vehicle accident in Labette County late last week.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Axzivian Cummings was driving a 2007 Hyundai southbound near Ness Road and 9000 Road when he passed another vehicle at a high rate of speed, lost control, and entered the east ditch colliding with 2 utility poles. His vehicle then rotated counterclockwise, rolled multiple times, and came to rest in a field.

Cummings was pronounced dead at the scene.
