A citizen's tip leads to the arrest of a felon in Parsons.  On March 9th Parsons Police received an email tip regarding the possible locations and vehicle description for a convicted felon and parolee. 32-year-old Vincent Lee Collins was confirmed to have an active warrant out of Neosho County and a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant.

On March 11th the Parsons PD followed up on this tip and Detective Kyle Wiford located a vehicle matching the description in the 1200 block of Crawford Avenue in Parsons. This information was also relayed to Corporal Jordan Tomlinson, who later apprehended Collins without incident. Custody of Collins was transferred to a Neosho County Sheriff’s Office deputy and he was transported to their facility on the warrant.
