An Independence Middle School student has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Montgomery County Health Department.
Areas that the student occupied over the last several days have been closed off to be disinfected. Those who were identified as close contacts have been notified and they will not be able to return to school until they are released by the health department. However, they will have access to remote learning.
If you have questions, you can contact Superintendent Rusty Arnold at 620-496-4706.
