Two parents from Miami were arrested for charges of child abuse.

On February 20th, during the winter storm, a child walked into Walmart cold, wet and hungry. The child proceeded to tell the workers at the store that his mother had given him a black eye. Workers then called the police and noted bruising all over his body. Officers then started an investigation and were able to arrest two individuals yesterday afternoon.

Christopher Haury was arrested on the charge of child abuse and assault by strangulation, and Kristin Pierot was arrested for the charge of child abuse. Both individuals were transported to the Ottawa County Sheriff's office and held on a $150,000 bond.
