A 62-year old man has been arrested on a laundry list of charges including rape and various drug charges.

A Detective with the Chanute Police Department spoke with an individual about a sexual assault that had taken place. During the investigation, the Detective gathered statements and evidence involving the incident. Officers were able to later locate the suspect at a residence along with a vehicle that was registered to him. Chanute PD K9 was deployed and during the search, approximately 4.5 grams of methamphetamine was seized from the vehicle along with other items associated with illegal drugs.

Officers arrested Jerry Dean Sager of Moran for rape, aggravated sodomy, criminal restraint, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
