COVID Continues to Decline Despite New Variants Popping Up in the U.S.

 

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has reported the continuing decline of new COVID-19 cases despite new variants of the virus coming to the United States such as the strains from the U.K. and Brazil.

 

As of yesterday, KDHE has reported 639 new cases, eight new deaths and 41 new hospitalizations since Friday. In total, there have been 294,302 cases, 9,290 hospitalizations and 4,743 deaths.

 

In Montgomery County, there were no cases reported on Sunday and one case yesterday, but there were 18 new cases reported last Thursday. There have been a total of 3,272 cases reported since the pandemic began.
