The city of Parsons' water pressure "should be stabilized" after a drop of water pressure occurred at the city's water treatment plant last night.

There is no state-required boil water advisory, however, Parsons is asking its citizens to follow a recommended boil order for the next 24-48 hours. Make sure all water used for medication or special uses is boiled prior to use. It is recommended drinking water or water used to cook be boiled as well.

City crews are currently testing the water at a dozen points throughout the city. The next step for Parsons is for the city to get results on the water sample that was sent to the KDHE.
