Caney Police Department received notice that the Montgomery County Court had issued seven new aggravated failure to appear warrants for Travis Smith of Caney. Smith failed to appear for his scheduled court hearing on Thursday as directed by the court.

Charges for Smith include felony interference with a law enforcement officer, criminal trespassing, multiple theft charges, felony possession of a firearm and multiple drug charges.

After officers failed to locate Smith on Friday, he turned himself into the Caney Police Department on Saturday. Smith was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he is being held on outstanding warrants.
