A Caney man was arrested on aggravated battery charges after a family disturbance early Saturday morning.

The disturbance was reported in the 100 block of North Wood Street. An officer with the Caney Police Department spoke with a woman who lives at the residence. The victim was injured and was provided medical attention, but she refused to go to the hospital.

Upon further investigation, officers were able to arrest 24-year-old Joseph Dwayne Armitage on aggravated battery charges. Armitage was transported by Officers to the Montgomery County Jail.
