Parsons 150th Anniversary Celebration

The city of Parsons is kicking off its celebration of the city's 150th anniversary.

On Monday, March 8th, free cupcakes and ice cream are available for carry-out only in the basement of the municipal building from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. while supply lasts.

A commemorative stamp collection is available at the Carnegie Arts Center from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. One "Parsons 150" postcard and postcard stamp are free to each person, but individuals can bring as many cards or envelopes with stamps on them to be marked with the special 150 collection stamp.

The special photo exhibit “Prairie Town” is now in the lobby of the municipal building and can be viewed during regular operating hours. The exhibit will be functional throughout the month of March.

Masks are required and the city asks that you practice social distancing guidelines during all events.
