A boil water advisory in Elk City has been rescinded.

The advisory was put in place due to a line break causing a loss in pressure to the city's water supply. According to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, laboratory testing samples collected from the city of Elk City indicate no evidence of bacteriological contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
