The National Weather Service announced that a statewide tornado drill will occur in Kansas on March 2nd at 10 a.m.

According to NWS, March 1st-5th is Severe Weather Preparedness Week and they are hoping that people do their part to get ready for any severe weather that may occur during the upcoming tornado season.

This test will be broadcast over NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio and many local television and radio stations. Local officials may also sound their warning sirens. The NWS encourages everyone to abide by health and safety guidelines, including social distancing and wearing a mask per local health department protocols.
