A staff member at Independence High School has tested positive, according to the Montgomery County Health Department.

Per the school district's protocol, all the areas the staff member occupied over the past several days have been temporarily closed off to be disinfected.

The staff member and those identified as close contacts will not be allowed to return to the school until the health department deems it safe. All close contacts have been notified.
