Pittsburg State University has released its weekly COVID-19 numbers for the week leading up to Feb. 24th.

Tests were administered to 13 symptomatic students, with two positives. Currently, eight students are in isolation and approximately 16 are in quarantine as close contacts to infected people.

One faculty member reported an infection and one new close contact was identified. One is currently in isolation and one remains in quarantine. Since the onset of the pandemic, 62 faculty and staff have reported infections and 103 have had to quarantine as close contacts to infected people.

Weekly routine testing of athletes mandated by the NCAA continues. In this reporting time period, 193 student-athletes were tested and zero were found to be positive.
