An Energy Conservation Alert has been elevated to Level 2 in Coffeyville. Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power issued the alert asking customers to conserve as much energy as possible while maintaining proper home health safety.

The alert will stay in effect until further notice to mitigate the risk of more widespread and longer-lasting outages. A Level 3 would be triggered if Southwest Power Pool has to utilize operating reserves below the required minimum or ask the city's members to implement controlled service interruptions.
