An 18-hour manhunt came to a close last night in the search for 29-year-old Malcolm Odom who was the lone suspect in the murder of 22-year-old Levi Kendricks early yesterday morning.

During the search, PPD looked into every abandoned house in the town. Thanks to tips from residents, they were able to locate Odom at a residence in the 1400 block of Partridge in Parsons. Odom was also wanted by the Kansas Department of Corrections for felony violations as well. He was brought to the Parsons Police Department and booked into the facility until he can be seen by a judge in the Labette County Court.

Odom was arrested on multiple charges including murder in the second degree.
