Parsons Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a murder that occurred early this morning.

Parsons Police Officers responded to an emergency 911 call at around 1 am at the Mendota Creek Apartments for a reported shooting. Callers and witnesses identified the suspect as 29-year-old Malcolm Odom of Parsons. Odom was reported as fleeing the scene northbound.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Levi Kendricks of Parsons. Kendricks was pronounced dead at the scene by officials from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police are continuing to search for the suspect and gathering evidence.

Odom should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, please call 911 and report his location, and do not approach him.
