Guardrail Improvements to Start on K-47 in Wilson County

The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a project to make guardrail improvements on K-47 in Wilson County starting February 15th.

The guardrail will be replaced at 12 locations between U.S. 400 and U.S. 75 and most of the work will take place off the highway, with minimal impacts to traffic. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by late April.

KDOT awarded the $323,780 construction contract to Bettis Asphalt & Construction of Topeka.
