Pittsburg State University Reports Cases

 

Pittsburg State University has released its weekly COVID-19 numbers for the week leading up to Feb. 3rd.

 

Tests were administered to 52 symptomatic students, with 11 positives. Currently, 13 students are in isolation, and approximately 40 are in quarantine as close contacts with infected people.

 

In the same time period, two faculty and staff reported infections, and four reported being close contacts to an infected person. Three are currently in isolation. Since the onset of the pandemic, 56 faculty and staff have reported infections, and 101 have had to quarantine as close contacts to infected people.

 

Weekly routine testing of athletes mandated by the NCAA continues. In this reporting time period, 112 athletes were tested, and two were found to be positive.
