The need for blood products doesn’t pause for holidays, game days or a pandemic. As COVID-19 cases have risen across the United States, so has the need for convalescent plasma. This has lead to a shortage of this potentially lifesaving blood product. To help address this shortage, the American Red Cross is teaming up with the NFL to urge people, especially those who have recovered from COVID-19, to give blood.

All who come to donate blood or platelets this January will be entered to win a getaway to next year’s Super Bowl in Los Angeles. In addition, those who give until January 20^th, will also be entered to win a Big Game at Home package, which includes a 65-inch TV and a $500 gift card. There are two Red Cross Blood Drives coming up in Coffeyville on Monday, January 18^th and Tuesday, January 19^th.
