A scam has been going around in Chautauqua County claiming you can receive a $600 check weekly.

The scam letter has a United States Postal Service logo at the top saying that the payment will come from the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Mobile Wraps Advertisement that you applied for.

The instructions on the letter say to deposit the check into your bank account and then email the scammer your personal information in order to receive the funds.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said to contact them if you receive a letter from this scammer.
