A 41-year-old Chanute man has been arrested on a list of drug and traffic charges.

Chanute PD conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 300 block of West Walnut. During the stop, Chanute PD K9 sensed the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. Officers applied and were granted a search warrant on the vehicle and discovered the drugs.

James William Waggoner was arrested for possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and no proof of liability insurance. He was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
