The Independence Street Department has been working diligently to complete brush pickup from the October ice storm. However, due to staffing issues related to COVID-19 this has taken longer than expected.

They are allocating resources and equipment from the Street, Water-Sewer, and Cemetery departments together on December 28-30 to expedite this pick-up effort. The area left to pick up brush from the Ice Storm is Area 12, which is north of Oak Street. Please place all tree limbs in the grass area along the street curb in front of your house.
