Two Arrested, Linked to Residential Burglary

Two Missouri residents were arrested in connection with a December 14th burglary of a Lowell home, where suspects initially fled from law enforcement.

Kevin Lee Hanten was apprehended last Monday afternoon and transported to the Cherokee County Jail on a variety of charges. Late last week, a deputy patrolling the area stopped a Chevy Blazer and arrested 38-year-old Cory August Hirdler and 41-year-old Brandy Montez Bates, both of Seneca, MO, when the trailer they were hauling was discovered stolen. In addition to the trailer, law enforcement recovered items stolen during Monday's burglary.

Sheriff's Investigators executed a search warrant of the suspect's house where additional stolen property including a vehicle previously reported stolen out of Oklahoma, along with suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also discovered and seized.
