On-Campus Housing and Dining Costs to Remain Unchanged

The Kansas Board of Regents approved a plan Wednesday night that will keep on-campus housing and dining next year at the state's six universities unchanged.

Even though schools have incurred higher costs this semester and fewer students on campus, the universities felt the need to keep cost-of-attendance affordable for students. Average costs for double-occupancy rooms with several dining options will remain at just under $8,000 at Pittsburg State University and around $11,000 at Wichita State University.

Housing officials are hoping that by keeping the costs unchanged, it will bring more students back into residence halls to offset increased operations costs as a result of the pandemic.
