The number of positive cases in Wilson County has risen above 500 after the latest report from the Wilson County Health Department was released Wednesday.

There are now 514 total positive cases (with 6 presumed positive cases), which is up 33 since Monday's update. However, active cases dropped by 19 to 105 cases. Hospitalizations are up by one to 27 while deaths remained at five. There were 3,162 negative tests while 410 have recovered.

In Montgomery County, total cases have risen to 1,671 with 42 hospitalizations with a record 75 new positive cases reported on Monday.

Across the state, there were 4,551 new COVID-19 cases which brings the total to 194,569 total cases. There were also just over 6,000 hospitalizations and 2,253 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
