Independence High School is shifting to remote learning after 11 COVID-19 cases were reported Monday.
Superintendent Rusty Arnold talked with the district nurse and the Montgomery County Health Department and determined that this was the best option to avoid the spread amongst both students and staff.
Remote learning will take place for the rest of this week and then they will have their semester break. They will return to classes on January 5th and report to their first semester classes. Finals will take place on January 7th and 8th and then second-semester classes will start on January 12th.
