A 46-year old man, who committed three armed robberies in Pittsburg, has died while in custody at the Crawford County Jail.

 

Early yesterday morning, correctional officers found William Hadden of Pittsburg unresponsive in his cell and attempted to render aid. Crawford County EMS, Girard Fire, and Girard PD also responded to the incident. Hadden was pronounced dead at the scene by the Deputy County Coroner.

 

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has been notified and is investigating the death. Hadden's body has been transported to Kansas City for an autopsy.

 

Hadden was arrested shortly after midnight on Saturday.
