Another student at Independence Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Montgomery County Health Department. This marks the sixth positive case at USD 446 since the start of the month and the second middle school student.

Those who are identified as close contacts have been notified and will not be allowed to return to school, but they will have access to remote learning. The student who tested positive will not be able to return to school until the health department deems it safe.
