With the season’s first dose of winter weather moving into southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma road conditions may worsen later this afternoon and this evening.  According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department paved roads around the county are currently wet, however, some gravel roads are beginning to turn slushy.

Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing overnight which could lead to hazardous driving conditions tomorrow morning.
