Two Chanute residents have been arrested on various drug and traffic charges.

Chanute PD conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of West 14th street. During the stop, Chanute PD K9 sensed the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. After a search, officers arrested 46-year-old Randall Kennedy for an out of state arrest warrant, driving while suspended, and defective headlamp. Officers also arrested 37-year-old Alexa Clark for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They both were transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
